organized by name, proceed to any one of the three remaining species index. These indexes
(location, adaptation, and use) provide a listing of the turfgrass species best suited for
each category. An example might be a listing of the species adapted for use in a cool,
humid, portion of the United States. By viewing species groupings both by site of
adaptation and intended use, you will begin to understand how to select a species for
optimum performance of the established turf.
